Clear your mind.
I’ve answered lots of wedding photography questions that most brides ask me when we first get talking. You can always drop me a message if you want to go in to more detail
What style do you specialize in?
My approach to wedding photography is super fun and chilled. My style of shooting is as natural as can be. I’m a bit of an all-rounder when it comes to photography – so my photographs tend to be a mix of fine-art and documentary with splash of romance. I capture lots of happy faces and natural moments.
Do you do posing?
I capture moments for my couples as the day unfolds as naturally as possible. However, Sometimes couples may need a little help to look their absolute best in a photograph so I will give a little direction if they need it.
Will the photos be retouched and color balanced?
Yes, every single photograph I deliver to you will have passed through my rigorous retouching process to make sure all your images have my signature style and timeless feel.
How many weddings do you shoot per year?
I shoot around 20-25 weddings per year.
Do you shoot back-to-back weddings?
The summer months book up really quickly and I do often shoot on consecutive days. I try my best not to overload my schedule by limiting the amount of weddings I will cover per month to 5. This way I can be completely focused on giving my best service to each couple.
What’s your favorite part of a wedding day?
I love everything about weddings, my favourite part of the wedding day is after the ceremony when everyone involved begins relax to let loose. I love to spend time alone with the bride and groom and create some dreamy and romantic images.
Do you shoot both digital and film?
I shoot 100% of my weddings with the latest professional grade digital SLR cameras and lenses. In today’s world it just make sense to shoot digital! However, I LOVE to shoot with film! It has such a soft and dreamy quality that is just magical. If you’re interested in having me shoot film at your wedding just ask!
What is a Pre-Wedding Shoot? How much does it cost?
A Pre-Wedding shoot is a great way to get some beautiful photographs of you both long before the wedding. It’s a really nice way to capture the essence of the days leading up to you tying-the-knot. Plus all my couples find that it helps them get comfortable in front of the camera. I get lots of comments, especially from the guys – on how fun it was and how they are now really looking forward to being photographed on the wedding day.
The Pre-Wedding shoot is £120 and includes my signature-style shooting and retouching. All the images will be presented and are available to print and download in a website-style gallery.
Do you usually shoot in both color and black and white?
Yes! I’d say my wedding galleries are a 70/30 mix of colour and black and white photography.
What is the price? What exactly is included in your packages?
My package is £1200. It includes all planning and meetings with photography coverage from bridal prep to first dance. 400+ photographs retouched in my signature-style. All photographs are presented in a mobile-friendly, website-style gallery that can be shared instantly with all of your family and friends.
Is your coverage enough? Can we book you for longer?
All my packages include all the photography coverage most couples need but if you still feel like you need extra coverage, additional hours are charged at £200 per hour and includes my signature style retouching.
How much is the deposit and how do we pay?
The package is payable in 3 x instalments of £400. An initial payment of £400 is due at the signing of the contract and will secure your wedding date and booking price. The next instalment is due 6 months before the wedding and the final payment is due 4 weeks before the wedding date. The total amount is £1200.
Will you be my actual photographer, or will it be one of your assistants?
Yes! I will be the only photographer shooting and retouching your photographs.
Do you have backup photographers who will shoot the wedding if you’re sick?
While this has never happened, I do plan for every eventuality. I have made agreements with another professional photographer to cover your wedding should an unavoidable problem arise. If you decline the offer of a reserve photographer a full refund will be made to you.
Will there be a second shooter or any assistants? Is there an additional fee for each?
I currently shoot all weddings alone. I do plan to take on an assistant from the local college in 2018. There will be no additional charge for this and I will confirm with you if you are happy for them to attend the wedding.
How long after the wedding do we get to see the photos?
I will likely capture thousands of photographs at your wedding but only the very best will make it to your final gallery. The entire culling and retouching process can take up to 30-days. For couples eager to see their images, I always provide a sneak-peak on my Blog, Facebook page and Instagram shortly after the wedding!
How many wedding photographs will we receive?
To put an exact number on the amount of photographs you will receive is impossible. On average, 12-hours of wedding coverage will get you approximately 400+ retouched images.
