Once we’ve had a chance to chat and discuss your needs and you’re happy to go ahead – I will organise the booking forms for you to complete.

That depends on how you envision your wedding day panning out.

Most couples in the UK opt for Full-Day Coverage from their wedding photographer. However, if you are planning a more intimate wedding day with less guests – you may only require half a day to capture everything you need.

For the majority of couples getting married in the North East and wider UK, 10-hours is the perfect amount of coverage to capture everything that happens on your wedding day.

Full-Day coverage enables me as your wedding photographer to start the photography around 2-hours before the ceremony –  capturing both the bride and groom getting ready as well as the pretty details of the ceremony setup including the arrival of wedding guests.

The 10-hours of photography coverage is continuous and spans the entire day even past the first dance and into the party – so you can expect to see gorgeous photographs of every single moment of your wedding day.

My 4-week promise. All couples receive all of their wedding photographs fully retouched within 1 month of their wedding.

Not if you don’t want to.

Everything can be done online with receipts and confirmation at each stage so there is no need to meet up just yet if you just want to get things sorted quickly and have your consultation at a later date.

Covid-19 was an unexpected and deeply stressful situation that was completely out of our control.

To safeguard my couples from further stress and possibly losing out financially – I offered everyone the opportunity to reschedule their wedding date free of charge and without any additional charges – to any other date available in my calendar.

Because I don’t shoot weddings en masse, I was able to rearrange dates for the majority of my couples with little difficulty.

During the outbreak, I was always on hand to offer specific advice on how to handle any given situation with as little stress as possible and I also provided continuous updates throughout the entire duration of the virus.

You can expect the same level of service from me should there be another pandemic in the future.

It all depends on the length of time you’d like me to be at your wedding and if you’d like to add on extras such as highlight films, pre-shoots and wedding albums.

Essential Coverage is £1200. Full-Day Coverage £1800.

All packages include an Online Gallery with an unlimited amount of professionally retouched photographs and a 4-week turn around.

To secure your wedding date there is a £500 non-refundable retainer to pay and a contract to read over and sign (This protects both you and me and details everything about the service).

A further 50% of the balance is due 6-months before your wedding and the remaining balance is due, in full, 6-weeks before your wedding date.

All consultations take place on weekdays in my hometown. If you can’t make it here a good alternative option is a telephone or video call.

I live by the beach in Hartlepool on the North East coast of England. It’s around 40-miles south of Newcastle Upon Tyne and around 18-miles East of Durham City Centre. 

I travel all over the UK and abroad for weddings so there’s really no limit on how far I will travel for my clients. The only real problem is that my dates book up really quickly so it may not be possible for me to take time out for weddings further afield.

Weddings in the North East have travel costs included.

For weddings further afield such as Scotland or London – A travel charge for hotels and transport is payable.

The majority of couples book in with me on the same day they confirm a date with their wedding venue – Usually, it is about 2-years to 18-months in advance.

For weddings in the UK, my main working season is April to October.

Couples who book my most popular package – Full Day Coverage – can expect to receive anywhere from 400 – 800+ professional retouched photographs of their wedding day.

You may receive more or less depending on the level of coverage you choose.

Couples can usually expect to receive their full wedding galleries within 1-month of their wedding.

I work efficiently and prefer to be as unobtrusive as possible so I always work on my own at weddings.

If you’re worried about getting ready in different places and want coverage of that – I can usually make suggestions and also show some great examples of how I’ve made this work in the past but if you are keen on having a second photographer I’m more than happy to chat about this and provide you with a quote for the extra work.

Don’t worry about the rain. I’ve photographed so many weddings where it rained on and off, in fact, some of my best wedding photos have been taken on rainy days.

Chances are that the rain won’t last long and we can head outside when it has stopped to do the photos.

You should be safe in the knowledge that as a very experienced wedding photographer – I can adapt to any situation and make the best of it.

The Top North East Wedding Venues have amazing indoor spaces that we can use to our advantage meaning you’ll still get you tons of beautiful photographs no matter what the weather is.

I’m already well acquainted with most of the Top wedding venues in the North East but if your wedding venue is one I have never been to before you can bet I’ll be heading up well before the wedding day to take a good look around.

If you wanted to meet up we could take a look together and then sit down for a coffee and consultation afterwards – (Service available to booked clients only).

All Wedding and Pre-Shoot Galleries are hosted online for a minimum of 12-months but usually stays available for much longer.

It is highly recommended to download your entire wedding gallery and upload it to your iCloud or Google Drive. That way, should anything ever happen to your home, phone or computer – the wedding photos will always be safe in the cloud.

You’ll have at least a year to do this but I recommend doing it straight away.

Every photograph in your wedding gallery is hand-selected and retouched to bring out the true beauty in a photograph. Just look through my Wedding Galleries and see how amazing everybody looks – none of these people has had any photoshop work done.

As part of the retouching process – I’ll remove nasty and unwanted spots and perhaps the odd annoying things hiding in the background if I feel it takes away from the image.

My clients book me for true and authentic photographs so I won’t take away things like wrinkles, slim people down or change your appearance.

Of course, I want everyone to look their best in the photographs so I always give lots of priceless tips and direction to help you look and feel your best at the time of having your photograph taken, meaning I don’t need to alter your appearance.

If you feel like you’d like to have some extra work done to your photographs after the wedding I can put you in touch with a Digital Artist who can provide you with a quote for the changes.

Yes, I do things properly here at Carn Patrick Photography. As well as all my camera equipment being insured I am also fully covered for Public Liability and have Professional Indemnity insurance in place.

I’ve never missed a wedding in my entire career and I don’t intend to either. Because I build such good relationships with my clients when the wedding day comes around there’s no way on earth I could miss it. If on the off chance I’m ill – I’ll soldier through it.

If I’m seriously hurt or injured then that’s another matter. Couples should feel safe in the knowledge that I’m a member of several networks of wedding photographers who will cover each other in case of an emergency.

I am more than confident that I can find you a replacement photographer who can cover your day. If for some reason you don’t find the replacement photographer suitable, I will happily refund all of your money.

I prepared for every eventuality so I always carry spare cameras, lenses and accessories with me to all weddings so there’s never a problem if anything breaks. 

Yes, the security of your wedding photographs is paramount to me at Carn Patrick Photography. We have multiple online and physical backup processes in place at all stages to safeguard your photographs from being lost or misplaced.

At Carn Patrick Photography I use only the very best and up-to-date digital cameras, equipment and lenses.

At Carn Patrick, I do all of the hard work so all you need to worry about is enjoying your day. As a photographer, I create my best photographs when I’m allowed to do my own thing on the day and my couples book me because they’ve seen how amazing the photos are that I take at all of my weddings.

If you try to constrain a wedding photographer to a list of photographs you’ve seen somewhere on the internet, chances are that it won’t work and you won’t enjoy the process of doing it. Plus you’re likely to miss a lot of the real and natural moments that happen on the day.

At your consultation meeting, we create a list of all of the VIP’s you’d like to have photographs taken with on the wedding day and we can also discuss when and where we will take them.

Yes, they are available as an added extra on all of my packages and include an online gallery including a beautiful collection of Fine Art prints.

That means every photograph you see on this website is a real, natural moment caught in time.

The reason everyone looks so good in the photographs is that they are enjoying the experience of being photographed.

There’s a man behind that camera making life easy for the couples, giving them the confidence to feel and look their best all day long.

That’s totally fine. I’d say 80% of my photographs are candid and natural. For the more traditional shots such as family pictures and of you as a couple – I keep things super relaxed, give plenty of specific direction and make it a fun experience.

If the idea being photographed is one your worst nightmares but you really love my photography and want to book me for your wedding – I would highly recommend booking in a pre-shoot with me so I can help you to feel so much more comfortable and relaxed around the camera.

I’ll give you lots of tips on how to look your best in the pictures so that when the wedding day arrives you’ll be excited about the pictures instead of dreading it.

Yes. Some of the more traditional shots on the day such as family portraits and photographs of the bridal party are some of my most favourite. I actually look forward to and make this a special part of the day unlike other wedding photographers out there.

In your Pre-Wedding Questionnaire and Consultation, you have the chance to create a shot list of all the different family members and friends you’d like to have pictures with. Don’t worry if you are unsure where to start – I can help with that.

While I agree that my wedding albums come with a premium price tag – They are undeniably the best quality wedding albums on the market. Not only that but they are guaranteed to last a lifetime.

The wedding photos in your gallery are fully optimised and ready to be printed so if you don’t feel like treating to yourselves to one of my beautiful wedding albums you still have other stunning options readily available.

At Carn Patrick Photography, I believe everyone should be able to have a physical copy of their photographs. Built into every Online Gallery is a fantastic online store enabling couples and their family and friends to order high-quality prints, albums, frames and other items at a more friendly price tag.

Smart Casual usually. As I’m on my feet for the entire day I do need to stay comfortable but I will dress appropriately for the grand occasion.

I know lots of my couples are starting their own families and I’d love to capture those special times for them.

At this time, I am exclusively only available to couples whose weddings I have photographed.

I love the emotion and detail colour brings to a photograph – therefore my photographs are professionally retouched in full colour.

If you love black and white that’s no problem at all – Just let me know the file number of the photograph and I’d be happy to convert it to black and white for you.
